Lake County Nursing Home Abuse and Neglect

Welcome to the Lake County Nursing Home Abuse and Nursing Home Neglect site of Young & Wallin.

Although many nursing homes do a good job of caring for their residents, many nursing home residents become victims of abuse and neglect. The results can be severe and sometimes even lead to premature death. Residents of long-term care facilities have rights and certain protections under the law. The California legislature has formally recognized that "elderly and dependent adults may be subject to abuseneglect or abandonment and that this state has a responsibility to protect these persons." In order to achieve this goal, California enacted a number of laws to address this concern.
